If you have named drivers on your car insurance policy, when they come to apply for their own policy, we’ll recognise every year that they’ve been a named driver on your policy and haven’t made a claim. And they don’t even have to do a thing. Their Claims history will be automatically stored on our database, so we can see it at a glance and make sure that they’re eligible – even if they’ve never had their own Direct Line policy.

It’s just one of the ways in which Direct Line is offering car insurance; another is with our multi-car discount, which allows a named driver or member of your household to benefit from a 10% discount when they take out motor insurance with us.

We also recognise company car drivers with safe records. Similarly, if you’ve previously had sole use of a company car, as long as you’re over 25 and can confirm that you haven’t made any claims, we’ll take your No Claims history into account.
